‘People looked at me like I was oppressed in some way’: Young Christians on life in secular Britain

The main objects of the Church, hereinafter known as Christ Apostolic Church (House of Refuge) are as follow:

To advance the Christian religion by propagating the Gospel of Jesus Christ and proclaiming the Kingdom of God through preaching of the Word of God, lectures, publications, prayer, and distribution of gospel tracts.

To declare the year of the Lord to the people of this generation before the second coming of Jesus Christ so that the signs and wonders shall follow those who believe to eternity.

To encourage the world to live a righteous life of holiness and prevailing prayer through which yokes are broken and the mighty power of God made manifest in abundant harvest of good news.

To put a positive outstanding meaning to the physical and spiritual development of the youths and offer support to direct their steps through Biblical doctrines to the demand of the Lord Jesus Christ.

To relieve poverty and provide care for the needy by cooperating with other charitable and Christian organisations to offer help, both financially and otherwise, to victims of war, disaster and other misfortunes locally, nationally and internationally.
